Bridge crossing over Richey Run is under repairs on Rt. 38/298 just east of Emlenton.
Route 38/208 Still Closed in Richland Township
State Route 38/208 remains closed for bridge repairs from the on/off ramp for Interstate 80 westbound (Exit 45) to the intersection with Route 208 in Richland Township, Venango County. A detour is posted using I-80. The closure began on Monday, June 3 and is expected to remain closed until late July 2024.
Road Closure signs are posted on Main St. in Emlenton, just off the bridge on the east side of town. (Local traffic only out of Emlenton to Panther Spring Road, left, or Metz Road, right.) Travelers coming into Emlenton from Rt. 38/208 moving west can turn right a Ferree Road to Whitehall Rd. and travel into Emlenton, or take the posted detour to I-80 west and travel to Exit 42.
All work will be completed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Venango County maintenance crews.
