Primary Health Network’s mobile health unit.
Emlenton, PA — Primary Health Network (PHN), Pennsylvania’s largest Community Health Center, is taking immediate steps to ensure the medical needs of the Emlenton community are met following the recent closure of Emlenton Area Family Practice. In response to this, PHN is excited to join the Emlenton community by providing access to primary care through its mobile health unit.
Starting on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, PHN’s mobile health unit will be stationed at the former Emlenton Area Family Practice location, at 516 Main St, Emlenton, PA 16373, offering essential medical services from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm every Tuesday. This service will be available each week until Primary Health Network solidifies a more permanent infrastructure solution in Emlenton, PA.
“We understand how critical it is for rural communities like Emlenton to have reliable access to healthcare, and we are committed to ensuring residents continue to receive the care they need,” said Dr. George Garrow, CEO of Primary Health Network. “Community Health Centers like ours embody the values of accessibility and equity. This venture is a continuation of the dream of Dr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Phillips, who had a warm affection for building a stronger community in Emlenton, showcased by his hospitality and compassion for his patients and neighbors. We are proud to reestablish that connection in Emlenton, and we look forward to being part of this community’s healthcare journey.”
The services provided by PHN’s mobile unit will include primary care services, minor sick visits, and medication management and education. The mobile health unit is fully equipped to offer comprehensive care, ensuring individuals and families can access healthcare in a familiar and convenient location.
One of the key advantages of being a patient at Primary Health Network is the accessibility and affordability of care. PHN accepts a wide range of managed care plans, processes various insurance providers, and offers a Sliding Fee Discount for eligible patients. This ensures that high-quality healthcare is available to all, regardless of income, making care more accessible.
Scheduling Appointments:

This initiative is part of PHN’s ongoing mission to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare, ensuring that no community is left without essential medical services.
