National Night Out Held In Emlenton and Area

EMT Venessa McFadden talks with visitors on National Night Out about the Emlenton Area Ambulance Service. Venessa is assisted by her son, Damian.

Emlenton was one of several towns to hold a National Night Out event. The National Night Out is held annual on the first Tuesday in August.

This year the event was also held in Clintonville and Knox. Emlenton’s event began at 4 PM and the others began at 5 PM. Unfortunately the events were cut short to do a brisk summer rain. Those who attended, however had just enough time to meet the local police officers and emergency personnel. Gifts were given out to the youngsters along with complimentary pizza, and the Boys & Girls Club AA gave out hot dogs.
