I would like to announce my candidacy for the office of Magisterial District Judge, District Court 18-3-04, a position I have held for the past 17 years. The Court covers the boroughs of Callensburg, East Brady, Hawthorn, New Bethlehem, Rimersburg, Sligo, and the townships of Brady, Licking, Limestone, Perry, Piney, Porter, Redbank and Toby.
I have had the pleasure of meeting many of my constituents during my prior campaigns.
For those who I have yet to meet; here is a little bit about Jeffrey “Zelmo” Miller. My parents were the late Wallace B. and Marion S. Miller. I am a graduate of Redbank Valley High School, a former partner in Miller Auto body and served 10 years as a state constable.
I received my schooling and certification from the Administration Office of Pennsylvania Courts in September 2007. I was commissioned by the Governor in January 2008 and took office January 4th, 2008.
I am past Lion King of New Bethlehem Lions and Secretary of New Bethlehem Lodge F&AM 522.
My volunteer work includes public address announcer for the Clarion County Fair, football announcer for Union/AC Valley Falcon Knights, basketball at Redbank Valley, softball at Redbank Valley, track and field for Union and Redbank Valley, ABC Youth Football as needed and numerous fire department events.
Organizations I support are Limestone VFD gun raffle, Union AC Baseball in the Valley, NB VFD Cash Bash and Ethan’s Helping Hands.
I firmly believe giving back to the communities is very important.
My personal achievements that I am very proud of include, being the Redbank Valley commencement speaker, past Redbank Valley Citizen of the Year, citations for volunteer services from the Pennsylvania House of Representations and Pennsylvania Senate, UHS and RVHS Volunteer Service Award and a featured judge in the Special Court Judges of Pennsylvania Magazine.
A Judge cannot or should not offer opinions on court cases as each case merits different action. It is important that everyone leaves a court feeling they were treated with fairness and respect. It is having a good pipeline of out sources to help citizens on many issues.
I truly look forward to meeting you and ask for your support in the spring primary and fall election.
Sincerely,
Jeffery Miller, MOJ 18-3-04
