MICHAEL “Mike” RUDDELL RANKIN, 64, of Eldorado (Parker), passed away suddenly early Saturday morning at Butler Health Care of natural causes.
Born in Grove City on Dec. 12, 1959, he was the son of the late Keith Ruddell and Martha Ann Sloan Rankin.
He was a 1978 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley School at Foxburg and was protestant by faith.
He retired from Irvin Industries of Butler, where his last employment was as a shop foreman.
Mike was a sociable person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and NASCAR. He was a Social Member of the VFW Parker Post.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Francisco, whom he married on September 21, 1979. He is also survived by his children, Amanda "Amy" Slaugenhoup of Bruin and Keith Rankin of Parker, as well as his six cherished grandchildren: Madison, Makenzi, Jakoby, Marissa, Kourtney, and Riley. His stepmother, Bessie Glass Rankin of Franklin, also survives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sister, Deborah Smith.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jun. 18, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Parker, where a funeral service was held following visitation with Bessie Glass Rankin officiating.
