Three confirmation candidates from St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Emlenton, received the sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
Most Rev. Lawrence Persico, Bishop of Erie, conferred the sacrament at St. Joseph’s Parish in Oil City, along with multiple other candidates from neighboring churches.
Many family and friends filled the church to support their receiving this blessed Sacrament.

Those receiving the Sacrament from St. Michael’s were Grace Beal (10th grade), Piper Whalen (9th grade) and Alexandra Zacheral (9th grade), pictured above with the Most Rev. Lawrence Persico, Bishop of Erie.
Confirmation is one of the four sacraments of initiation of the church, along with Baptism, Reconciliation and first Holy Communion (Holy Eucharist).
