Martha “Madeline” (Rodgers) Borkoswki, 95, of Parker, went to be with the Lord Tuesday evening, January 21, 2025, while at Clarview Nursing, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Chicora, PA, on June 10, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Rodgers of Chicora and Sharon, PA.

In 1952, she married the late Henry J. Borkowski, Sr. in Pittsburgh, PA, where they made their life and raised their family. In 1991, they relocated to Parker, PA, to enjoy time with their grandchildren. She worked for the KMart corporation for 35 years at various locations, finally retiring from the Clarion Kmart in 1995.

Madeline was an excellent cook, always hosting Sunday dinners for her family and friends. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, playing cards, watching game shows, listening to country music, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Diana (Joel) Fair of Parker, a son Henry J. (Darlene) Borkowski Jr. of Washington, PA. Three grandchildren, Julie Fair of Grove City, Amber Fair (Rex Page) of Parker, PA, and J.D. Fair of Parker, PA. And five great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as their “Bubbie”, Braden and Colton Murray, Mallorie Fair, and Liam and Levi Page.

Besides her father and husband, she is preceded in death by a very (special) Aunt Martha Allene (Hilliard) Rodgers and several special cousins.

Friends will be received at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Parker (201 S. Wayne Ave.) on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The funeral will immediately follow at 4 p.m., with Pastor Andy Gundlach from the Journey of Faith Church officiating.
