Marcie G. Douglass, 60, of Emlenton (Scrubgrass Township), passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital on Saturday evening.
Born in Butler on March 28, 1964, she was the daughter of the late David E. "ED" and Wanda Lee Daubenspeck Horner.
She was a 1982 graduate of the Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School. Marcie worked for OPM and several other organizations, completing her career by retiring from OPM in 2017.
She was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church. She was affiliated with Daughters of the American Revolution, was a social member of the VFW post 7073 of Parker, and a social member of the former VFW post 7840 of Cherry Valley for 40 years.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Douglass. One brother: Jesse (Jeannie) Horner of Butler; Sister-in-law, Gwen (Mike) Hickman of Kittaning; brother-in-law, Glenn (Karen) Douglass of FL; nieces and nephews Tawnia Snyder; Jason (Jen) Snyder; Ben Horner; Sarah Horner; Amber (Joel) Carter; Leanna Douglass; grandson, Brennen Snyder of Jason and Jen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Leanne Horner Snyder.
Friends and family will be received at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Eau Claire (201 S. Washington St.) on Saturday, November 2, from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, the 3rd, at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
