Lois M. Williams, 91, of The Village of North Oakland, passed away Saturday evening, November 16, 2024 at Quality Life Services in Chicora.
Lois was born in Butler on April 24, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Edward Chris and Anna Margaret Benson Waltman.
She was a 1951 graduate of Butler Area High School. In her earlier years, she had been employed with The Boy Scouts of America. Lois retired from Magnetics in East Butler following 30 years of service. On August 22, 1953, she married Henry Thomas Williams Jr. Mr. Williams preceded her in death on November 29, 1981. She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland and the St. Clare Parish Christian Mothers. Lois was a devoted homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving are two sons, Douglas E. Williams and his wife, Christine, and Henry T. Williams III and his wife, Kimberly, all of North Oakland; five grandchildren, Cole Williams and his wife, Candace, Ryan Williams and his wife, Suzetta, Courtney Williams, Alyssa Gargasz and her husband, Robert, and Trevor Williams and his wife, Kyra; eight great grandchildren, Baylor and Weston Gargasz, John, Luke, and Anna Williams, Remington Williams, and Kannon and Taya Williams; two sisters, Edna Barger and her husband, Nelson, of East Brady, and Thelma Foust of Cabot; a brother-in-law, Clarence “Sonny” Schiebel of Chicora, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Schiebel; a brother-in-law, Dennis Foust, as well as a number of other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd. Chicora from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, North Oakland with the Rev. Matt McClain, pastor of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
