The Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank will have two local pick up places for those in need during the summer months.
Pittsburgh Food Bank and will offer an assortment of produce, meats, dairy products, and other convenience food items. There are no qualifications or requirements to receive these items and households are encouraged to pick up for additional households that might not be able to attend. This is a walk up distribution which is slightly different from last year's drive up distribution.
Locals can begin picking up food items at the Karns City High School School on June 13, 2024. Plans are to distribute June, July, August and September. Pick up times will be from 5 pm to 7 pm. Volunteers will be on site to assist with distributing the food items and helping those who may require additional assistance gettting those items into their vehicles.
The Six Points Church of God will also be distributing food on the third Thursday of each month beginning in June and through September from 5 pm to 7 pm.
