Leonard Thompson

Leonard Thompson, 68, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed Tuesday, July 25, 2023, peacefully, in the company of his wife Mary.

Lenny was born on Feb 3, 1955. He was the only son of Eugene and Genevieve Thompson of Foxburg, Pa.

Lenny was a graduate of Allegheny Clarion Valley High School and Alliance College, while at both schools he loved playing Basketball.

During his years at A-C Valley, he was a member of many Championship Teams.

One Team Len was very proud of was the 1972-1973 team that was Boys Class A CCIAA Champs, PIAA District 1X Champs, and PIAA Western Champs. Many Falcon Alumni still speak of the School's run for States!

Len is survived by his wife Mary Kellerman Thompson of Lake Worth, FL, and two Sons, Brayton of Lake Worth, Timothy and wife Shelbie of Greenacres FL; two grandchildren Timothy (TJ) and Maddie; one surviving sister Vieve Jack and husband J of Emlenton Pa., as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law of the Kellerman family, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Len was preceded in death by two sisters Toni Mann, Susan O'Shea, his sister-in-law Melissa Ace, mother-in-law Myrna Kellerman; and one grandchild, Rorie.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 3 ‘till 5 pm. at the Tillman Funeral Home in West Palm Beach Fla.

A Celebration of Len's Life will be held at a later date in his hometown of Foxburg Pa. Details will follow in The Progress News when they are finalized.
