James Robert Baucom, of Parker, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Jim was born July 27, 1947, in Butler, PA.
His parents were Delmon and Lorraine Baucom, also of Parker, who both preceded him in death.
He married his wife, Sara Jeannette (Bowser), on May 17, 1969, almost celebrating 55 years together. Together, they raised three daughters LeaAnn Baucom-Elliott (Ralph), Kyndall Long (Larry), and Korrina Schill (Jason). He prided himself in and enjoyed being a "Pap" to Grant, Ridley, and Madilynn. Jim, also known as "Chubby" to many, drove a tri-axel truck for many years. When the self-employed truck life became too difficult, he went to work for Zacherl Motors in Clarion for over 20 years, retiring in 2018. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
In addition to his immediate family, Jim is survived by siblings: Daniel Baucom, Michele Courson (Chuck), and Margie Wagner (Michael), and many nieces and nephews.
The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Clarview Nursing Home, Butler Memorial Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospice Home of Wexford for their care and support.
