George W. Crum, 22, of Sharon, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
George was born in Clarion on May 17, 2002. He was the son of Marjorie Shannon Young Buzard.
George grew up in the Oil City area and in 2020 graduated from Cranberry High School.
As a youth, George spent time on his grandparent’s farm in Richland Twp., Clarion Co., working with them at the farmer’s market. He continued throughout his life helping his grandparents whenever they needed him. He was always very kind and caring and was quick to turn a stranger into a friend. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He was especially close with his mother. He loved to travel and learning about everything and anything, making a great effort to live life to the fullest.
George is survived by his mother and stepfather, Marjorie Shannon and Jason Buzard of Harrisville; his partner, Tyler Weaver of Sharon; two brothers, Jeremiah Young and Anthony Crum; three sisters, Emily Peritin, Shawnee Crum, and Tawnie Crum; his maternal grandparents, William and Patricia Young of Emlenton; his step-grandmother, Ruth Smith of Clarion; several aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles and cousins. He was especially close with his uncle John Young, his great uncle, Bob Young, and his cousin, Liam Young, as well as close friends, Cody Martin of Fredonia and Cheri Mason of Titusville.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Clarion Bible Fellowship Church, 2263 PA 68, Clarion, with the church pastor, Rev. Gina DeLair, officiating. The interment will be in St. Petersburg Cemetery.
