“Take a walk back in time on the Clarion River as we guide you through Indian contact, its exploitation as a natural resource, and the river’s current state of recovery.”
On October 29th at 5:30 pm, the Foxburg Free Library will be hosting a “History of the Clarion River” presentation in the main room. Dale Luthringer, a Cook Forest State Park environmental education specialist, will be discussing the history of our local river from the time of the Seneca Nation of the Iroquois Confederacy to the modern day.
The audience will be invited to take a walk back in time on the Clarion River. You will be guided through Indian contact, its exploitation as a natural resource, and the river’s current state of recovery.
