Foxburg Festival Is A Hit, Despite the Rain

The 2024 Foxburg Fall Festival was held on Sunday, September 29th on Main Street in Foxburg.

The day a little damp, to say the least, but was tolerable for most. Despite the precipitation throughout the day, many of the vendors were still happy with the turnout. Music filled the air with the sounds from three of the area’s top bands, Max Schang Blues Band kicked off the day in the morning, followed by the Brandon Rae Band, and Richard Eustice & Friends ended the day.

Southern Pride Bar-B-Que was serving up a variety of BBQ sandwiches and delicioius sides to go with them.

A pre-festival event featured “InTransit”, in Lincoln Hall, Pittsburgh’s premier event band on Saturday evening September 28 that started 7:30 PM. With a full house, and dancing in the rear, the festival was off to a great start.

Sunday, when festival patrons needed a little downtime, they visited the Foxburg Pizza and where they found a dining room full of Chinese Auction items and some entertaining background music with the drumming sounds of David J. the Percussionator.

Snow Cones, and

other goodies . . . !

Folks also enjoyed spending time at the Foxburg Winery and the Allegheny Grille.

The Chinese Auction tickets were drawn between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m, along with the daylong 50/50 drawing. The 50/50 winner won $100. The Chinese Auction was spearheaded by Doloris Hughes with the help of Rory Brunsguard, Kristie Shaffer and Beth Kelly.

Rory Brunsgaard, and Beth Kelly, are seen here drawing the winning tickets for the Chinese Auction and the 50/50 day long raffle.

Along with informational booths there were artisans, crafters and the famous kids’ zone.

Vintage Café was serving the Rueben Nacho,

Rueben Burger, Pretzel Dog and more!
