KC Communities That Care hosted a community backpack food packing event on Saturday, February 22nd at KC high school. Members of the community helped pack 933 backpack food bags for students enrolled in the KC district weekend backpack food program. This program supplies students with a bag of non-perishable breakfast, lunch, and dinner items for the weekend and benefits approximately 119 students weekly. Students are sent home additional food items for longer weekends and holiday breaks. CTC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that manages this program through a small, budgeted line item and with gracious community donations. With your help, we can continue to provide this essential program to our KC students.

Please call 724-496-7225 for more information on how you can help. Monetary donations can be sent to 2167 State Route 268 Chicora, PA 16025.
