(Clarion County, PA) – There are two guided Autumn Walks taking place locally in Clarion County within the next few months. The first one will be an Autumn River Walk on Thursday, October 17th from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allegheny River Trail starting in Emlenton, PA. Join the Clarion
Conservation District for a free educational walk (1-2 miles) along a flat gravel path to enjoy the colorful fall foliage and learn about the history and biology of the Allegheny River (2024 Pennsylvania River of the Year), tree identification, and more. Please dress for the weather & wear walking shoes. You may park along Main Street near 1st Street or along River Rd. if there are spots available. Register at www.clarionconsevation.com/events by October 16th.
The second walk will be a Fall Discovery Walk on Tuesday, November 19th from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Story Walk Trail in Rimersburg, PA (Sligo Spur of the Redbank Valley Trail just off of State Rt. 861). Register by November 15th.
