The opening wine and cheese reception for the Holiday Art Show will be on Sunday, November 24 from 4 to 6 PM following Allegheny RiverStone Center for the Art’s Lincoln Hall concert at 2 PM. Featuring the dazzling virtuosity of stunning, world-traveled Svetlana Smolina, her Classical Piano Pops program will include the Nutcracker Suite, Blue Danube, John Williams “Scent of a Woman” Tango, George Gershwin “The Man I Love” and Georges Bizet’s Carmen Variations – PLUS a Chopin Ballade, Waltz and Polonaise and MORE. ARCA’s Red Brick Gallery is the region’s premier destination for the exhibition and sale of contemporary art, craft and design in Western Pennsylvania. Let the Trumpets Sound on Sunday, December 8 at 2 PM with the majestic sounds of glorious brass music performed by ”one of the gems of Philadelphia’s cultural life,” the PHILADELPHIA BRASS, who turned “the audience into something resembling a cheering section, while at the same time leaving them breathless.” Tickets $35, Members $30 and Students $5.
Deck the Halls with Songs of Christmas as the award-winning a cappella vocal quintet, BACKTRACK VOCALS, brings the purity of their harmony with festive choreography, contagious joy and audience engagement to lift our spirits, warm our hearts and have us laughing and singing along to our favorite holiday tunes – on Sunday, December 15 at 7 PM.
