In progress: The Bruin Area Veteran’s Memorial and Honor Roll.
The B.A.V.M.A. directors are pleased to report the construction progress to date. As the picture shows, ditching, pouring of the footer, placement of ditch block and colored wall block, stone fill, and necessary drainage to this point, labor, and concrete have been completed and paid for. Also bought, paid for, and awaiting placement are all five granite bases, two of the four granite tablets, a powder-coated bench, and the plaza pavers. These will all be installed as soon as schedules permit as we march on moving forward toward completion.
All donations received have been applied to the above purchases and work. We have not borrowed any funds nor have we received any government grants or tax money. Most incidentals, i.e., postage, printing, paper, ink, travel, etc., have been donated anonymously. All your donations are in the memorial/honor roll.
