Beverly Ann Heeter


Beverly Ann Heeter, 59, of East Brady, formerly of Petrolia, passed away peacefully while in the company of her loving family Monday afternoon, September 9, 2024, at the Chicora Medical Center.

Beverly was born in Butler on December 4, 1964. She was the daughter of the later Henry W. and Darlene J. Hoak Freiters.

She was a 1982 graduate of Karns City Area High School and The Butler Beauty School.  In her earlier years, Bev had been employed by the underground mine in Boyers. Beverly had been employed by several area beauty salons and operated her own salon in Petrolia for several years. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, painting, camping, canning, the company of her family, and motorcycle rides.

She is survived by her husband, Edward M. Heeter Jr., whom she married in Petrolia on May 12, 1990. Also surviving are two children, Kayla J. Freiters and Cody A. Heeter, both of East Brady. She was affectionately, “GiGi” to her grandchildren, Brielle Payer and Isla Roman; two brothers, Robert W. “Bob” Freiters and his wife, Donna of Fairview and Richard W. “Hitler” Freiters Sr. (Lisa Belles) of Karns City; four sisters, Shelly L. Dinus and her husband, Mark, of East Brady, Margaret M. “Peg” Freiters (Scott Whitmer) of Fairview, Melissa S. Bowser and her husband, Barry, of Parker, and Darlene J. Cousins and her husband, Keith, of Karns City, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Bev wanted to express her heartfelt appreciation and thankfulness to her doctors, nurses, and caretakers these past several years.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2024, from the funeral home with the Rev. Eric Burkhard, a longtime family friend and pastor of Found Hope Ministries, officiating.
