Armstrong County Republican Committee Rallies Behind Its 63rd Legislative District Republican Nominee

The Armstrong County Republican Committee (ACRC) met on Thursday, May 2nd to recognize the various Republican nominees from the Pennsylvania April 23rd primary. Darlene Smail/Armstrong County Republican Chairwoman congratulated Josh Bashline on his win in the hotly contested 63rd Legislative District race to replace retiring State Representative Donna Oberlander. Chairwoman Smail went on to say, “the Republican Party now needs to come together and get behind all of its Republican nominees as its proceeds to the fall General Election on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024”. 

The Republican candidates proceeding forward to the General Election are President Donald Trump, Dave McCormick for U.S. Senate; U.S. Congressman 15th District Glenn “GT” Thompson; Dave Sunday for PA Attorney General; PA Treasurer Stacy Garrity; PA Auditor General Tim Defoor; Josh Bashline for PA State Legislative District 63, and State Rep Abby Major for the 60th Legislative District. 

Josh Bashline addressed the ACRC expressing his commitment to provide stellar constituent support for both Armstrong and Clarion Counties, with his goal to educate his constituents of the services the State of Pennsylvania offers. Furthermore, Mr. Bashline said he is here as a servant of the people and will vote on bills per his constituent’s interests.

State Representative Abby Major advised at the meeting that she has been busy in Harrisburg working to get the state budget passed.
