Ann Marie Johns



Ann Marie Johns, 59, of Parker, Perry Twp., Armstrong Co., passed away peacefully at home while in the company of her loving family Sunday morning, June 2, 2024.

Ann was born in Butler on January 19, 1965. She was the daughter of Janet McElroy McCrea of East Brady and the late R. Howard McCrea.

Ann was a 1982 graduate of East Brady High School and Lenape Vo-Tech School. She had been employed for nearly 40 years as a legal administrative specialist at OPM in Boyers.

She enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading, sewing, and the company of her dogs, “Cooper and Beau” and most especially looked forward to spending time with her grandkids.

In addition to her mother, Ann is survived by her husband, Dean D. Johns, whom she married at St. Paul Church in Sugarcreek Twp. on May 11, 1985. Also surviving are five daughters, Tiffany M. Green and her husband, Justin, of Chicora, Nicolle C. Johns (Corey Harris) of Karns City, Brianna S. McCullough and her husband, Cody, Kaylin H. Garing and her husband, William, and Lindsay A. Johns (Nicholas Schill), all of East Brady; her grandchildren, Ezra L. and Finn W. Green and Banks D. McCullough; a step grandson, Colt Harris; two brothers, Richard E. McCrea of East Brady and William L. McCrea and his wife, Trina, of Chicora; a sister, Susan I. McCrea of Butler, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Friends will be received at Hile Funeral Home in Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd, from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, June 22. A Memorial service will follow at Noon from the Funeral Home with Rev., Tim Shimmons, Pastor of Grace Community Church in Curllsville, officiating. The interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Sugarcreek Twp., Armstrong Co.
