ACV Students in Godspell
This spring, the Franklin Civic Operetta Association is presenting Godspell at the Barrow Civic Theatre.
This production includes some of our local talent.  Tristan Blain and Libby Best, both high schoolers at A-C Valley, are appearing as two of Jesus’ disciples.  Tristan, a Junior from Parker, is a seasoned veteran of the Barrow Civic Theatre and Libby, a Sophomore from the Emlenton Area, is making her first appearance there.

Emlenton Business Association Hosts Concert at The Crawford Center

Whether you are their biggest fan, or have never had the opportunity to see them in concert before; you need to set aside Friday evening April 25th at 7:00 pm.  For the first time, our local Nashville recording artists will be performing a concert in the Crawford Center auditorium to help benefit the Emlenton Business Association! 

Open Recruitment for Laborers in Parker Area

Manpower is hiring laborers for local companies in Parker and Emlenton. An open recruitment will be held at the Parker Fire Hall on Tuesday, April 8th. Times are 10 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm, 2:30 pm, & 4 pm. Must be able to pass a math test, background check & drug screening. Please bring two forms of identification and your resume. Benefit for Beth Ealy's Kidney Transplant

In 2012 Beth was diagnosed with end stage renal which is permanent and cannot be fixed. During this stage of renal failure, the kidneys do not function well enough to maintain life, and the individual needs dialysis or a kidney transplant. right now, Beth goes to dialysis three days a week as she waits to find a match. Int the meantime, Beth is surrounded by the love and support of her family who are with her every step of her journey. One thing that the hospital tells patients is that having a good support team is the main thing in causes like this.

Beauty and The Beast March 20th - 22nd

A-C Valley Junior/Senior High School will present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast March 20-22 at 7:00 in the A-C Valley High School auditorium.  The musical brings to life the Academy-Award winning Disney feature film with all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman along with new songs written by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice.

"Trail Towns: A Look Into The Future"

What’s a “trail town?” How can our trails create jobs and business growth in Emlenton? How does Emlenton fit into the Erie-to-Pittsburgh Trail and other major trail destinations? This informational session will explore the subject of trails as both a recreational activity and an economic development tool.

St. Pauls Community Church Invites You to Hear "The Lost Boys of Sudan"

On Sunday, March 30 at 6 PM Angelo Maker will tell his first hand story of his incredible escape from Sudan Africa at St Pauls Community Church, Chicora PA. Angelo is one of the survivors of orphan boys that wondered the war torn spacesuof Africa and Ethiopia for nearly 10 years that finally gained worldwide attention when their plight became known to the United Nations. Their struggles and daily experiences with death have spawned numerous books and the title of “Lost Boys of Sudan”.

Milton Hershey School Holding Family Event for Prospective Students

Take The Parker Polar Bear Plunge

It’s that time of year again, Christmas has passed and the weather continues to get colder. To most of us hibernation sounds like a good choice, jumping into the frigid Allegheny River does not! Not unless, your FREEZIN for a REASON!
The Parker Polar Bear Club would like to invite everyone to their 8th annual "Freezin for a Reason" splash into the Allegheny.
Two years ago over 500 plus jumpers braved the water that saw spring like weather conditions. Last year almost 400 braved the colder weather.
