Summerfest - Historic Emlenton Trolley Tours

 The Pumping Jack Museum will be offering guided tours of historic Emlenton via a colorful trolley/bus during Summerfest on Saturday, July 10.  It will be leaving hourly from Unimart from 10 a.m. and the last trolley will unload at 4 p.m.  The tour guides will be Emlenton residents Arch Newton and Nancy Kingsley.  Both are well versed in Emlenton’s history and will provide interesting facts and stories about the town such as; which Emlenton home was ordered from the Sears Catalogue?  Keep watching the Progress for further information about these tours.

Clarion County Tax Day Tea Party

CLARION, PA – Come join us for a Tax Day Tea Party on Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 6-8 pm in the park across from the Clarion County Courthouse. This is your opportunity to take part in the reform movement that is sweeping the nation.
Speakers for this year’s event will include: Peg Luksik, Candidate for U.S. Senate; Elizabeth Bryan, Commonwealth Foundation; and Pennsylvania State Rep. Donna Oberlander. 

Kids Fishing Day Scheduled

The Brady's Bend American Legion Post 488 has scheduled another fishing day for kids.
The legion post plans on stocking the Sugarcreek stream behind their building on May 1st.
At this time the legion is asking for monitary donations to help pay for the trout, along with donations for prizes to be awarded to the kids fishing.

Hunter-Trapper Education Course

A Hunter-Trapper Education Course will be held at the Richland Grange, Rt. 38 on April 9th and 10th. The times of the course will be 5 PM to 9 PM on Friday, April 9, and at 9 AM to 5 PM Saturday, April 10.

Lunch will be provided free by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
The course is sponsored by the Emlenton Rod & Gun Club.
