Lamartine: Pumpkin Fest 2013 at the was a huge success at St. Pau's & Salem Lutheran Parish! It was very well attended (approximately 600-700 participants!) Many young families took advantage of the children’s carnival and thoroughly enjoyed the games, crafts, pumpkin carving, face painting, hay rides, inflatables, pedal cars and pony rides. The performances that took place throughout the day were all thoroughly enjoyed. The festival raised money to benefit our the parish youth & family ministries.

Local V.F.W Hosts 1st Annual Pink Brunch Fundraiser

The Paul W. Wood VFW Post 7840, Cherry Valley, on Sunday, October 13th held their First Annual Go Pink Brunch Fundraiser. IThe breakfast was held to raise awareness and raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The breakfast started at 10:00 AM and went until 1:00 PM. There was a delicious brunch including, eggs, sausage, bacon, sausage gravy & biscuits, ham, hashbrowns, fruit & more!

Keystone students gathered on October 12th in the school’s main gym to celebrate homecoming. The theme of this year’s dance, “Colors of the Wind” from Disney’s Pocahontas, was selected and prepared for by the Keystone cheerleaders.

Public Rosary Held at Saint Michael the Archangel Church

Emlenton: On Saturday, October 12th, members of local parishes gathered together to pray a public Rosary before the statue of the Blessed Virgin outside Saint Michael’s of Emlenton.  The day was dedicated in reparation of the sins of the world with the goal of returning America to God.  It is an annual event, and is held in hundreds of locations across the United States on the same day, ensuring the simultaneous praying of the Rosary in our country.

On Wednesday October 3rd it was hard to find a place to park in the center of Eau Claire as Hunter Truck Sales welcomed customers, suppliers, friends and family to an “Open House” to celebrate being in business for 75 years. The day’s events ran from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM including lunch and a dinner, along with information seminars by International and Peterbilt.

Inaugural Car-Mate Gusher GNCC at RiverStone Farm is in the Record Books

Local riders #717 Mason Atherton finished 10th &  #49 Nolan Cypher finished 4th in the 250 A Class.

Excitement surrounded the newest addition to the 2013 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series as the inaugural Car-Mate Gusher GNCC descended upon the Oil Region community on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 for the 11th round of the 13-race series at RiverStone Farm in Foxburg. Steady rainfall increased the obstacles throughout the freshly cut racecourse but nothing could stand in the way of Pennsylvania’s very own Chris Bithell, who captured his first overall win of the season in his home state in the XC1 Pro ATV.
