JOHN A. “Banjo” ANTHONY, 91, of Dutch Hill, Parker, Pa. passed away at 7:20 AM Saturday morning (02-27-16) at his residence of infirmities of age.

Jean M. Cornelius, 81, of Scott Road, Emlenton, passed away Wednesday morning, February 24, 2016 at Trinity Living Center in Grove City.

Jean was born on Pittsburgh’s South Side on June 19, 1934. She was the daughter of George and Marie Kuhn. Jean graduated from Carrick High School. She enjoyed puzzles, sewing and collecting dolls. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Emlenton and the Scrubgrass Senior Center.

Chase A. Longo, 21, of Walnut St., Emlenton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, February 21, 2016 in Pittsburgh.

Chase was born in Pittsburgh on January 31, 1995.  He was the son of Carrie A. Hackwelder-Longo and the late Bryan S. Longo.

He was a 2013 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in Foxburg and was currently a junior engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dorothy A. Clouse, 93, of Chicora, left for her heavenly home shortly after her arrival at Butler Memorial Hospital Wednesday afternoon, February 10, 2016.
Mrs. Clouse had been a resident of Sunnyview Nursing Home in Butler since 2014, where she enjoyed various activities, especially bingo and crossword puzzles. Dorothy had formed many close relationships with the staff and residents at the home where she felt truly comfortable.
Dorothy was born in Summit Twp., Butler County on January 7, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Norman P. and Agnes Moniot Oesterling.


MELANIE EILEEN DUNKLE, 67, of Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Sligo, formerly of Parker, Pa., passed away at 3:05 Am Tuesday morning, February 9, 2016 at Clarion Hospital.
Born in Butler, Pa. on December 7, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Benton and Helen Miles Dunkle.
Protestant by faith, she was a member of the former Church of God in Parker.
A member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Parker City VFD, she had served as custodian of the fire hall as well as the Parker Post Office.

Gregory Dean Cooper, 57, of Chicora, Pa., passed away after an extended illness on Wednesday evening at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh. Greg was born in Butler on June 28, 1958. He was the son of Joyce Starr and the late James Dean Cooper.

Greg was protestant by faith. A hard worker all of his life, Greg worked as a heavy equipment operator for Adobe surface mining, then for Bob Bean as a welder for custom truck beds. Before his health prohibited him from working he was last employed as a carpet layer and floor fitter for Beatty's Furniture in Eau Claire.

Mary J. “Joyce” Graham, 75, of Bruin, went to be with the Lord Wednesday afternoon, February 3, 2016 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Joyce was born in Karns City on September 28, 1940. She was the daughter of the late James K. and Olive B. McElroy McCollough.

BARRY STEVEN “Steve” BARGER, 67, of East Brady, Pa. passed away early Saturday afternoon, January 23, 2016 at his residence of natural causes.

Born in Butler, Pa. on February 15, 1948, he was the son of Helen E. Bowser Barger of Country Springs at Clarview in Sligo, and the late John W. Barger who passed away Oct. 30, 2013.

Grace Virginia Barnes Neff

Grace Virginia Barnes Neff, 80, of Oakland Township, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 21, 2016, surrounded by her family at VNA Hospice. She was born May 27, 1935 in Fairview Township, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Gladys Barnes. Grace was a 1953 graduate of Fairview Twp., Karns City High School, where she played the trumpet in the band.

Rosa M. McCloskey

Rosa M. McCloskey, age 72 of Butler, PA formerly of Chicora died early Monday, January 18, 2016 in the Butler Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

She was born December 15, 1943 to the late Joseph Knoll and Grace McMillen Knoll. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Valencia, and a member of the Women of the Moose along with being a seamstress at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed reading, baking, sewing, and doing puzzles.
