"Trail Towns: A Look Into The Future"

What’s a “trail town?” How can our trails create jobs and business growth in Emlenton? How does Emlenton fit into the Erie-to-Pittsburgh Trail and other major trail destinations? This informational session will explore the subject of trails as both a recreational activity and an economic development tool.
Presenters will include: Frank Hajduk, an avid cyclist who will share his recent experience in riding through the trails and towns along the Great Allegheny Passage in an organized bicycle sojourn; Will Prince, Trail Town Program® Manager of The Progress Fund, will be a featured speaker “Introducing the Trail Town Program®”; and Debbie Frawley, Greenways & Open Space Coordinator for Venango, Clarion and Crawford counties.
Kim Harris, Oil Region Alliance Project Manager and Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Secretary will be on hand for question and answer.
The program is free and open to the public as well as local business owners & managers, community leaders, and anyone who is interested in hearing how trails can impact Emlenton and the local valley, or just curious as to what a “sojourn” is.
