Panther Wrestlers Place at North East

Keystone wrestlers traveled to Erie on January 17th for a two-day tournament at North East High School. Two of the Panthers placed in their weight classes, one of whom made it to the consolation finals.

Chad Rogers (145) went 5-1, and earned 3rd place. Tyler Beal (220) finished the tournament in sixth place after reaching the semi-finals.

Evan Slater of A-C Valley (160) went 2-2 for the Panthers, one match short of placing in his class.

Art Steves, an Erie native whose personal record as a wrestling coach includes over 300 wins, presented awards to Rogers and Beal.

The Panthers returned home in 16th place out of the tournament, with a total of 43.5 points.
