A-C Valley Girls Win School’s First KSAC Volleyball Championship
by Dick Leavy

The A-C Valley Girls Volleyball team soared to new heights this year and made history on the way. The AC girls won the school’s first ever KSAC Volleyball Championship going undefeated with an 11-0 record. This championship was the first KSAC title won by an AC Valley girls team since 1989. The girls also captured their own tournament and one hosted by Brockway.

The 5 seniors Alyssa Babcok, Morgan Cratty, Kiersten Rothen, Katie Stumpner, Halee Wetzel and sophomore Josey Terwilliger had a gaudy record of 16-2 this year. The seniors for their careers ended with a KSAC record of 28-5 and an overall record of 43-12.

The JV team only lost 1 match this season so the future looks bright for the Lady Falcons. After a busy off season of practice and Junior Olympics look for the Lady Falcons to again be challengers for the title next September.

As a fan of the team, thank you coaches and girls for a terrific season.
