KATHLEEN “Kathy” Y. SCHNELL, 49, of Parker, Pa. passed away late Monday evening, March 30, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Brookville, Pa. on June 26, 1965, she was the daughter of Elmer and Charlotte Fox Boyer of Siegel, Pa. She was married to Eric P. Schnell on July 2, 1988.

A graduate of Brookville High School, she was employed at Adobe Coal for a period of time. She then began employment in the office of Sonneborne at Petrolia where she worked over twenty years.

LAURIE JEAN STALKER McFADDEN, 61, of Parker passed away suddenly early Monday morning, March 30, 2015 at her residence of natural causes.

Born in Butler, Pa. on Dec. 30, 1953, she was the daughter of Dorothy Stewart Stalker of Parker and the late Frank L. Stalker.

She was protestant by faith, and a graduate of the Karns City High School.

Jean was a former manager at Co-Go’s at Emlenton, and had been employed at the former Rodger’s Market and Parker House Hotel, both in Parker. She was a social member of the VFW at Parker.

UPDATE: Clarion Hospital Signs Extension Contract with the Butler VA

Late this afternoon the Butler VA and Clarion Hospital signed a five month extension for the Outpatient Clinic at the ACV Medical Center in Foxburg, PA.
The contract will run from April 1, 2015 through August 31, 2015, thus allowing VA outpatient services to continue without interruption at the Foxburg clinic.

GLENNA A. BARGER, 83, of Toby Twp., Parker, Pa. passed away early Monday evening, March 30, 2015 at the home of her caregivers, Susie and Mike Kifer, following a period of declining health.
Born in Greenville, Pa. on May 11, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Wavie Price Grazier.
She was employed over fifteen years by the former Glass Containers at Parker. Glenna also cooked the weekly dinners for the former Parker Rotary at the VFW for many years.
Glenna was protestant by faith.

Howard E. “Howdy” Barger

Howard E. “Howdy” Barger, 90, of Petrolia St., Karns City, went to be with the Lord at 11:35 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at the home of his step daughter in Chicora with his loving wife by his side.
Howard was born in Dutch Hill, Clarion County, on March 26, 1925. He was the son of Perry and Emma Wyant Barger.
He attended Parker High School. Howard was a sergeant in the U.S. Army serving in field artillery and communications during the Korean War. He retired from Witco Chemical in Petrolia following 38 years of service.
