George ‘Mike’ Eyth, age 88 of Sunnyview Home, Butler, formerly of Chicora, PA, died at 3:05 p.m. Friday August 22, 2014 of natural causes at Sunnyview Home and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in East Butler September 6, 1925 to the late Norbert G. Eyth and Mary Weiland Eyth.

BARBARA C. WHITLING, 60, of Knox, Pa. passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, August 18, 2014, at The Caring Place in Franklin following an extended illness.
Born in Mt. Pleasant, West Virginia on Dec. 15, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Homer Eugene and Beatrice Joy Wittenton Lutz.
Barbara was a 1972 graduate of ACV Schools at Foxburg, and had been employed as a cake decorator with Tom’s Riverside in Knox for a number of years.
She was Lutheran by faith.
A longtime “Elvis” fan, she made over seven trips to Graceland as well as attending many Elvis impersonator concerts.

Sylvia L. "Gram" (Coffaro) Kuhn, 67, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 18, 2014 due to an automobile accident.
She was born August 10, 1947 in Knox, Pennsylvania to the late Granville Bell and Belvie (Hopper) Bell.

Francis William ‘Bill’ Boulanger, age 86, of Donegal Twp. Chicora, died early Monday morning, August 4th, 2014, in Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Butler, PA, March 23, 1928, the son of the late Joseph J. Boulanger and Margaret C. Thomas Boulanger.

Mr. Boulanger worked 45 years at Castle Rubber in East Butler, PA, in maintenance. He retired in May 1993.

William C. ”Bill” Smock, 72, of Fenelton, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at 11:00 a.m. Monday morning, August 4, 2014 at his home.
William was born in Freeport on January 23, 1942. He was the son of the late Charles L and Helen Rummel Smock.
Bill had been employed by Pullman Standard in Butler until its closing and later became a self employed truck driver. He belonged to the East Butler Fireman’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to his camp. He attended Christ Community Chapel in Clearfield Township.

ROSE MARIE HELSEL SNYDER

ROSE MARIE HELSEL SNYDER, 89, of Dutch Hill, Parker passed away late Saturday evening (08-02-14) at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sligo following a period of declining health.
Born in Toby Twp., Clarion Co. on June 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Simeon and Chelsea Kriebel Helsel.
Rose was married to Edward Isaac “Ed” Snyder on Feb. 7, 1949, and Mr. Snyder passed away Dec. 12, 2013.
Mrs. Snyder was a graduate of the former Parker High School, and was employed as a secretary for REA (Central Electric Coop) for a number of years.
