Joint Hearing to Review State Police Emergency Towing Pilot Program

On Wednesday May 14th in Harrisburg the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee and House Judiciary Committee held a joint public hearing in the capitol building this week to examine the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Emergency Towing pilot program that began last fall in select western PA state counties. The intent of the PSP was to disengage the trooper on the scene and the Patrol control Officer (PCO) at the barracks from dispatch and coordination of the emergency towing providers by outsourcing to a third party service.

Annual Kaylor School Reunion Scheduled For Sunday, June 1st

On Sunday, June 1st, all former students of the old Kaylor School and guests are invited to attend the annual old fashioned school reunion.
Come reminisce and enjoy the history and stories of days gone by. The reunion will be held at the
Frogtown Community Center (formerly the Frogtown Wildlife Club, Frogtown-Kaylor Road. The reunion will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The Allegheny-Clarion Valley Chapter of the National Honor Society recently inducted 22 new members in the school’s chapter on May 15th, 2014. The induction ceremony was held in the Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School auditorium with the entire student body attending as well as the new inductees’ family members.  The new inductees and their families were treated to a social tea after the ceremony hosted by Mrs. Conto’s Home Economics Club in the school’s Large Group Instruction Room. Congratulations to all of the new National Honor Society Members.
